Srividya Angara is a dancer, trained in Kuchipudi.

This is a Indian classical dance style that is particular to the southern state of Andhra Pradesh. She has been studying and practicing this dance style for 16 years now, and has a diploma in Kuchipudi from the Telugu University, Hyderabad.

Srividya belongs to the newer, younger generation of dancers. For her, dance is joy - the complete and most potent of manifestions of a blissful mind. She performed extensively while in India, noted amongst which are the celebrated Natyanjali festivals of Thanjavur and Kumbhakonam and the Thiruvayyur Thyagaraja Ashram. And she continues to perform and practice Kuchipudi in the United States.

By profession, Srividya is a mainframes applications' engineer who has worked with companies like GE and Infosys. She currently resides in Charlottesville with her husband Nishant Sinha.
